Ditchling Museum of Art + Craft is an award-winning rural museum, that celebrates the work and lives of the artists and craftspeople who made Ditchling their home at the turn of the 20th century.
The museum has received widespread critical acclaim from the world’s art and architecture press and has been awarded numerous accolades following a major capital project led by Adam Richards Architects in 2013.
The bold scheme beautifully combines contemporary architecture whilst retaining the old building’s vernacular charm. The original Victorian museum buildings are sensitively complemented with contemporary features, and there are glimpses of the beautiful rural landscape from various points in the museum.
The museum’s award-winning architecture and celebrated collection creates the perfect backdrop for any event, including:
- Parties, christenings and wedding receptions
- Meetings, away days and workshops
- Wakes and memorials
Within easy reach of central London and Brighton, nestled at the foot of the South Downs in a picturesque village, this hidden gem of a museum makes the perfect venue for bespoke celebrations for up to 100 guests.
By hosting an event at the museum, you are supporting the important work we do as a charity, preserving and presenting internationally important artwork made 100 years ago on the museum’s doorstep.
