Sussex Retold: Oral History Project
Sussex Retold is a project led by the University of Sussex which draws on arts, crafts, music and folklore to celebrate the many voices and histories that shape the region.
In partnership with Ditchling Museum of Art + Craft, the project gathered a new series of oral history interviews with people connected to the village of Ditchling. You can listen to the audio clips below or read the accompanying transcripts.

Lucie Broadbent-Smith is the great niece of Hilary and Joanna Bourne, the founders of Ditchling Museum of Art + Craft.
