An exclusive print from a specially commissioned painting celebrating the life of Dame Vera Lynn and her connection to Ditchling and Sussex, by artist Neil Gower.

Printed with archival pigment inks on a smooth Hahnemuhle 305gsm paper. Paper size: 11 x 14inches

The print is signed by Neil Gower and commemorates the exhibition Dame Vera Lynn: An Extrordinary Life from 8 January to 18 April 2022. 

The print is unframed and will be sent in a cardboard tube.

About the protrait:
The original portrait of Dame Vera by Neil Gower was commissioned by Ditchling Museum of Art + Craft, following Dame Vera’s death in 2020 and was unveiled at the museumon 8 November 2021. Neil Gower based the design on bookplates produced by the St Dominic’s Press in Ditchling, and has incorporated Sussex locations Dame Vera knew and loved including the Ditchling village church St Margaret’s, where she is also commemorated, and the Seven Sisters cliffs.

About the artist;
Neil Gower is an internationally acclaimed graphic artist, working in a wide range of media and styles. Over the past 30 years his clients have included most major publishing houses in the UK & US, Faber & Faber, Penguin, Random House,Transworld, Knopf – and magazines such as The New Yorker,The Economist and Vanity Fair. He spent 10 years as Contributing Artist to Conde Nast Traveler in New York. He has also recently engaged in private commissions for Raymond Blanc and Sir Roy Strong. He lives in Sussex
