This limited edition calendar was produced for Ditchling Museum of Art + Craft by students from the natural dyeing course held at the museum.
Designed by Jacqui Symons of Slow Lane Studio, with beautiful photographs by the course students, each month focuses on a specific dye colour; Buckthorn, Indigo, Woad, Weld, Madder, St John’s Wort, Safflower, Dyer’s Coreopsis, Rhubarb and Oak.
The comprehensive one-year natural dyeing course is led by Jenny Dean, who has over 40 years experience in natural dyeing and whose books include ‘Wild Colour’ and ‘Colours from Nature’ (also available from our online shop).
Sales of this calendar support the work of the museum in preserving craft skills.
