Sussex based designer Phoebe Sherwood is known for the for way she playfully interprets natural form using a combination of materials such as wood, silver and gold. Phoebe gets much of her inspiration from her English upbringing and Scottish heritage, as well as wildlife, and objects that she spots whilst out walking her dog, Ernie.
Phoebe uses her experience as an illustrator to record and stylise these observations, and later sculpt and refine them in the studio, each piece uniquely fine-crafted with a contemporary edge. Phoebe began making jewellery whilst studying Art & Design at Brighton City College before taking on an apprenticeship and working for a goldsmith or four years. She founded Phoebe Jewellery in 2011.
