Introduction

Learning is an integral part of what the museum has to offer. Our learning programme is designed to be informative, engaging hands-on and fun. It is strongly linked to our collection and will enable people to participate in a wide range of creative experiences.

The programme is divided into three areas:

Informal

We run events for children and adults at the museum – see Workshops + Events.

Formal

We work with schools, colleges and further education establishments – see Pre-Schools, Primary Schools and Secondary Schools for more information. We also offer a bespoke programme for colleges and further education establishments. Please email learning@ditchlingmuseumartcraft.org.uk or call (01273) 844744 for further details.

Outreach

We work outside the museum with community groups – see outreach for more information.

Hire our learning space

The light and airy learning space is a great place for schools or classes to base themselves and is available for hire.

Arts award

We offer activities, events, expertise or resources which help young people working towards their Arts Award.
