First you will learn how make a plate out of clay using hand-building techniques and moulds. We will then explore the museum exhibition together and sketch the nature in the museum garden to use as inspiration for surface design ideas. To finish your plate try experimenting with different techniques such as such as sgraffito, splattering and using stencils with tools and coloured slips to decorate and have fun with clay!
After the workshop the plates will then be glazed and fired ready to collect from the museum at a later date.
