with Suzanne Joinson
Sat 4 September £60
10:30 am - 4:30 pm
This creative writing workshop is inspired by local nature and explores the connections between writing, storytelling and the natural world.
You don’t need to be a wildlife expert, nor do you need to have written seriously before. All you need is enthusiasm for the natural world and a willingness to explore a range of ways to bring the wilds alive on the page. The workshop includes an introduction to nature writing, writing exercises and the opportunity to share and feedback. We may squeeze in a short walk too.
Suzanne Joinson is an award winning writer and academic with a strong interest in the Sussex landscape and nature writing.
She has had two novels published with Bloomsbury UK and US, A Lady Cyclist’s Guide to Kashgar and The Photographer’s Wife.
Suzanne regularly writes for The New York Times, Guardian, and a wide range of other places. She is a Senior Lecturer in Creative Writing at the University of Chichester.
