The Workshop

Children aged 7 – 12 are invited to join in the fun with participatory artists Leap Then Look, who are running this exciting collaborative workshop exploring architecture and type!

This fun, collaborative and experimental workshop will invite young people to build an environment with large-scale structures made from bamboo. Participants will also create their own typeface from recycled materials scaling them up to make banners and placards making fantastic letterforms from the waste products that can end up on our seashores.

Includes all materials and entry to the exhibition. Please bring a packed lunch.

The Artists

Leap Then Look create art works, participatory projects, workshops and events for people of all ages and abilities. They focus on working together, inspiring playfulness, inquisitiveness and experimentation.

They use exciting and unconventional approaches, including object making, performance, installation, film, and photography, enabling participants to engage in multiple processes, creating their own work. Leap Then Look believe that contemporary art practice should and can be made available and accessible to everyone and that we can all benefit from engaging with new ways of looking, making and thinking.
