Join our free BSL tour for a special insight into Double Weave: Bourne and Allen’s Modernist Textiles and Drawn to the Light (نور) by Omeima Mudawi-Rowlings.
Double Weave marks the major contributions of the museum’s co-founder Hilary Bourne (1909 – 2004) and Barbara Allen (1903 – 1972), her partner in life and creative practice.
In Drawn to the Light (نور), lanterns and pathways of personal symbols lead the visitor into Mudawi-Rowling’s installation, which explores the artist’s intersectional experience as a deaf African-Arab with Sudanese heritage.
Tickets include entry to the museum.
