DMAC is for Everyone

Access has always been a priority for us at DMAC. We believe that museums should be for everyone, and we’re constantly striving to do all that we can to ensure the widest number of people can enjoy our building, collection and exhibitions.

As part of our Arts Council funded project, Different Stories, we undertook work to improve the visitor experience for those with access requirements. We are pleased to now offer an introductory video for the museum, so visitors can prepare for their visit.

We have also created an Easy Read Guide to the museum for visitors with learning disabilities, those with reading difficulties or English as a second language.

You can download the Easy Read Guide here.

Steph Fuller, Director of Ditchling Museum of Art + Craft said:

We absolutely believe that anyone who wants to come and experience what we have to offer at the museum should be able to, so thinking about all our visitors, their needs and preferences is high on our agenda. Making access changes provides better facilities for everyone, and creates a richer, more varied experience for all our visitors.

We are always working to improve access at the museum. If you have ideas, queries or feedback, please get in touch – we’d love to hear from you. You can email us on enquiries@ditchlingmuseumartcraft.org.uk or call us on 01273 844744.
