Learn to make a ceramic spoon, plate and cup in Stoneware clay or Porcelain. During the day you will learn basic hand-building techniques to form small functional ceramic pieces and add your own creative ideas. Work will be glazed and fired and can be collected free to collect from Elaine’s Brighton studio or on specified days from the museum. Additional P&P for items sent by post will be £8 per person.
Elaine is a ceramic artist working with clay and mixed media, creating works and compositions guided by a sense of narrative and steeped in the context of the local surroundings. Her work includes hand-built framed objects and thrown vessels in porcelain, terracotta, local clays and mixed-media.
She is an alumni of the Crafts Council’s Hothouse scheme (2014) and teaches and lectures in ceramics at a variety of institutions as well as at my studio in Brighton.
Cancellations must be received at least 7 working days prior to the event for a refund to be given. Cancellations after this period will not be refunded unless another person is able to take your place.
If the workshop is cancelled we issue a full refund to the people already booked on.
