Pauline Paucker wrote the book New Borders after discovering Friedlander’s archive in Cork. An introduction to Graham Moss of the Incline Press, who had found a cache of her printed papers, made it possible to make the unusual book together in the style of Friedlander’s own workbooks. With their tipped-in samples the book tried to re-create the forgotten life of an exiled artist.
