Maunder Music – Saturday 6 April

£5.50£10.50

Saturday 6 April
6:30 pm

Full Price – £10
Students and Under 18’s – £5
Plus 50p booking fee

Join us for an intimate evening at Ditchling Museum of Art + Craft, as students from the University of Sussex perform two short musical responses to Maunder Maps, a new installation by Jane Pitt.

Alison Hughes (clarinet, bass clarinet), James Longcake (electric guitar) and Danny Bright (sound) will take inspiration from Pitt’s 4-meter high colourful vinyl installation, which responds to the shifting layers of the museum’s inside-outside space. The artwork, which features topographical lines and shapes mapping sound and the environment, will act as the musicians’ score for the performance.

The evening will also include a Q & A with the musicians, Jane Pitt and Museum Director Steph Fuller.

The event is a collaboration between the School of Media, Film and Music, University of Sussex, and Ditchling Museum of Art + Craft.

All tickets include a drink.
