Ralph Levy, Maker
4 May 2019 - 2 June 2019
Originally from Napier, New Zealand, Ralph set up his home and studio at Beard’s Place Farm in Ditchling in 2001. Aptly named The Handmade House, it soon became a hub for artists and craftspeople, and as an exhibiting house in the annual Open House trail (as part of the Brighton Festival) became a favourite and renowned destination, winning Best Open House in 2007.
Following Ralph Levy’s untimely death in January, this exhibition is a celebration of the work and a peek into the world of this talented and prolific artist. Showing works from across his career and photographs of The Handmade House and studios, the exhibition will demonstrate Ralph’s extensive and eclectic practice and the unique and beautiful environment in which he lived and worked.
Entry to Ralph Levy, Maker is included in your museum entry ticket.
