Colour Journeys: Natural Dyeing in Contemporary Practice

Colour Journeys: Natural Dyeing in Contemporary Practice showcases pieces from artists and makers studying over the past year with Jenny Dean, one of the country’s foremost natural dye practitioners.
Work will include weaving, paper, textiles and more, all created using natural dyes.
The artists featured in this exhibition are: Deborah Barker (Textile Artist), Ross Belton (Textile Artist), Katalina Caliendo (Inter-disciplinary Artist), Susan D’souza (Textile Artist), Poppy Fuller Abbott (Weaver), Helen Gibbs (Bookbinder), Zuzana Krskova (Textile Artist), Sarah Newland (Weaver), Jennifer Nightingale (Filmmaker), Jane Ponsford (Paper Maker), Jackie Sweet (Basketry Artist) and Lottie Whyman (Weaver).
There will be tours of the museum’s Dye Garden at 11am & 3pm on 4 and 11 May and two open days of workshops and demonstrations 10.30am – 4pm on 4 and 25 May.
Part of Artist’s Open Houses. Entry to this exhibition is free, entry fees apply for the rest of the museum.
